Dexter, MI Tornado Relief

On Thursday night March 15th a ef-3 tornado hit the small town of Dexter Michigan. Our team responded the following morning at 6:30 am with a tool truck full of tools for volunteers and a bobcat skid loader and six core team volunteers ready to help. We had a family contact through Brian Oakley to Horsebend court, by 9:30 that morning we had a homeowner release on property and all the surroundingĀ  homeowners quickly where willing to receive help in the following hours. We also partnered with the local Catholic Church St. Joseph as they collaborated efforts with the local township on connecting volunteers to work sites. We supplied for two weekends of volunteers, the Dr-1 tool truck and two skid loaders to lift large logs and brush piles and a cat 308 excavator moving large logs and digging up stumps. We saw over three hundred volunteers come out to help in the two weeks of deployment in Dexter. We found the homeowners over whelmed with thanks to our team and the local county and township leadership very easy to work with and very professional on security and clean up efforts.
