Caring and Sharing Mission
“The kids need this filter very much. They get sick a lot and some of them have almost died from the bad water. Thank you for helping the kids, they need it very bad.”
Caring and Sharing Mission is home to between 30 and 40 orphan children in Port au Prince.
Since the earthquake, the children have not been able to drink, bathe, or cook with clean water. This has caused a great amount of illness in the children, especially the dozen children under the age of 10 years old. Most of the kids are sick between 5 and 10 times per month, and hospital visits are not an option as there is very little funding at the mission. Poured Out’s Translators in Training live at Caring and Sharing and are very excited to lead their brothers and sisters in using and maintaining their filter.

The CNS Mission has since changed its name to the Have Faith Haiti Mission. It is still using both filters for all water to drink, clean with, cook with, and even brush teeth! The children have seen remarkable improvement and growth over the past few years, with the help of clean drinking water and some volunteer medical professionals!
